Class Styles

A variety of classes and styles will appeal to yogis and yoginis of ALL LEVELS. Challenge yourself and stretch your limits or simply create the space for more breath in your life. Come on in and find the class for YOU..!!

Levels Description

  • Beginner – For those brand new to yoga with little to no experience
  • Level 1 – For those who have a knowledge of yoga basics
  • Level 2 – For those who are more experienced with a regular yoga practice
  • All levels – Beginner through advanced, all are welcome to attend

If you are an expectant mother and unsure of which classes would be suitable for you either contact us with your questions at thoyrelations@gmail.com or check our most current schedule and attend any class (with the exception of AcroYoga) taught by Jenna. She will be able to assist and help modify poses for you. Please let her know prior to class if you need assistance.

Class Descriptions

  • AcroYoga Basics (all levels)

    AcroYoga blends the wisdom of yoga, the dynamic power of acrobatics, dance and tai chi, and the loving kindness of the healing arts like Thai massage and shiatsu. These lineages form the foundation of a practice that cultivates trust, playfulness, and community. Come to this class to learn the fundamentals. ALL LEVELS welcome.

  • Chair Yoga

    A gentle yoga practice suitable for all ages, especially for people whose physical fitness activity is limited because of various diseases or physical conditions – such as high blood pressure, arthritis, chronic fatigue syndrome, multiple sclerosis, anxiety, and clinical depression. Different chair yoga poses, breathing techniques and meditation are incorporated in the class to relax your body and mind, improve your musculoskeletal fitness and enhance flexibility.

  • Community Flow

    Class offers an inclusive, welcoming space for the practice of flow yoga or traditional hatha yoga taught by THOY Yoga Teacher’s in training.

  • Core & Align

    This class is designed to wake up and bring life to the core! Abdominal postures and breathing techniques are incorporated into the class to strengthen the connection between the upper and lower body. Ideal for intermediate to advanced students who want to delve deeper into a healing yoga practice.

  • Drills N’ Skills for AcroYoga (all levels)

    This class is designed to gain and build the skills for a safe and fun Acroyoga practice. The progressive mindful movement with Drills will focus on core strengthening and stabilizing as well as conditioning your feet, legs, hips, shoulders, arms and hands. The creative and fun Skills will focus on internal and external trust building, active mindful listening, and communication. Come build techniques to find your own Acroyoga expression. ALL LEVELS welcome

  • Essential Oils

    Naturally boost your immune system & energy. We’re sharing Essential Oil research, tips & recipes to manage your wellness, weight, energy, mood, and more. Most times the class is free unless otherwise stated on the schedule.

  • Family yoga

    Bring your entire family to yoga and practice together. Class is structured like kids yoga class with emphasis on partner poses for kids and adults to do together. Appropriate for children ages 7-12.

  • Flow with Yoga Nidra

    Psychic sleep deep relaxation is the core focus of this session. Stretch out, release tension and stress from the body-mind complex. Ideal for beginners.


  • Forrest Yoga

    Forrest Yoga is an inspiring, grounding, and healing yoga practice that, through intelligent sequencing, builds flexibility, strength and integrity. The practice is an intensely physical and internally focused practice that is guided by the use of breath and core exercises, encouraging you to find a deeper connection with your physical and emotional body. This class is conducted in a slightly heated room. ALL LEVELS welcome

  • Hot Yoga

    A set sequence of basic poses, taught in a heated room. Excellent for developing strength, balance and flexibility while toning, detoxifying and relieving tension. Ideal for beginners. An energizing and relaxing class of doing postures in a heated room. It comprises Sun Salutation and core work that prepare the body for stretches in the hamstrings, hips and the back. Ideal for all levels of practitioners.

  • Intro to Yoga

    An introduction to the fundamentals of yoga with explanation of the postures combined with correct breathing techniques. Class is conducted in a relaxed environment where students are encouraged to ask questions after class. (all levels)

  • Light & Sound Meditation with Crystal Singing Bowls

    A powerful guided meditation with Alchemy Crystal Singing Bowls to purify and balance one’s energy system as a whole. The class is intend to bring rejuvenation, relaxation and inspiration to your life!

  • Meditation

    Meditation is a practice in which an individual trains the mind or induces a mode of consciousness, either to realize some benefit or for the mind to simply acknowledge its content without becoming identified with that content, or as an end in itself. Meditation has a person focus and temper their internal state.

  • Mommy & Me

    Babies crawling to 24 mos. Bring your little one to enjoy an hour filled with breathing techniques to calm you and your baby, gentle baby massage and stretches, playtime, games stories, asanas for the Mommy, community building and sharing and more!

  • Ocean Flow

    Ocean Flow is an integration of your breath with physical movement to create a meditation in motion. This class is designed to improve circulation, core strength, flexibility, and balance. Clear directions will break down posture variations and breathing techniques to support your yoga practice while aiming to create a loving connection of body, mind and soul. The room temperature is set at 80-85 degrees, warm but not hot. This is a flow style class is suitable of all levels.

  • Power Yoga

     

     

    Power Yoga with ashtanga style sun salutations and vinyasa (flow) throughout, this class will clear your mind and really get into the nooks and crannies of your body, and your practice! Our line-up of poses is diverse, focusing on the fundamental postures of the vinyasa.

    Room temperature 90 degrees, warm but not hot.

  • Pranayama and Mantra Meditation

    This class uses breath-work and breathing techniques to purify and energize the body. Using sound vibrations to instill focus and detoxify the mind of negative feelings & emotions, an experience of harmony, peace and vitality is created. Suitable for those who want to feel relaxed and invigorated at the same time.

  • Pranayama and Meditation

    This special class introduces students to the deeper practices of pranayama (breath control) and meditation. Open to all yogis – all levels.

  • Pre-Natal

    This class is designed to meet the needs of pregnancy and new beginnings of motherhood. Come strengthen and relax your body, ease your mind and connect with your baby in a safe and supportive environment. Feel inspired and nourished in a community of women sharing the experience of pregnancy and birth.

  • Restorative Yoga

    A deeply relaxing practice using yoga props such as belts, blocks, blankets, bolsters and chairs. Students can achieve the form of the yoga pose without exerting much muscular strength, which helps to soothe the nervous system. Ideal for alleviating the strains of a busy and stressful lifestyle.

  • Restorative Yoga with Crystal Singing Bowls

    A deeply meditative and relaxing class combining sound therapy with crystals tones and restorative yoga.

  • Wild Lotus

    This advanced asana practice gives students an opportunity to reach beyond level 2 classes. Students will explore a deeper asana experience and work towards more demanding postures. Previous level 2 yoga experience and solid understanding of asana is a must!

  • Yin Yoga Healing

    Exploring the body’s subtle energies with long, deep stretching that focuses on the connective tissues of the body, and cultivates a peaceful and meditative mind. Ideal for all levels.

  • Yoga 101: A beginner’s series

    A great class for beginner’s and practicing students looking to refine their knowledge of the basics. Yoga 101 will focus on the elements in starting your yoga practice. With clear, detailed instruction, and demonstration, you will learn how to connect breath with movement in each posture, developing your strength and flexibility. You will learn the “basic moves” and language of our signature style, Forrest Yoga. Discover the many benefits of yoga: physical fitness, stress reduction, total rejuvenation. This is a 6 week course offered periodically throughout the year. (all levels) Pre- registration is required and a $60.00 deposit.
